There are a lot of opinions & thoughts about what to do on Twitter, and how to do it. Different people have different views & opinions about what’s the right way to ‘do Twitter’. Nonetheless, the general consensus is that one should approach Twitter the way one wants to. Basically, it’s about having fun, so you do what makes you happy.
For me, I’ve decided to, by and large, follow almost everyone who follows me. I will, quite obviously, not follow people who’re only interested in pushing links. But if you’re a real person, I’ll follow you, even if you’re not funny. But definitely not if you’re an asshole. If you’re the kind of person who meaninglessly bashes celebs, stay far away from me.
My point is that everyone wants to be followed, everyone loves to be followed. So, get followed and follow back, it just adds to the fun.
(Whoa! Just realised I sound like someone from #teamfollowback. Rest assured, I’m not one of ‘those’. I just hope you get my point.)
